The price of gold in Egypt Today, Wednesday, September 10, 2025
The global price of gold
Gold is hovering around 3,645 dollars per ounce on Wednesday, settling near a new record high set in the previous session near the levels of about 3,674 dollars, supported by uncertainty and expectations of US monetary policy due to growing expectations of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates next week, and strong safe-haven buying amid a difficult geopolitical atmosphere is likely to maintain and consolidate these gains.
On the trade front, US President Donald Trump has urged the European Union to impose tariffs of up to 100% on China and India in an attempt to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the Ukraine war.
The growing unrest in the Middle East is also contributing to an increase in geopolitical risks.
Investors are now waiting for tomorrow's inflation data for further guidance.
